Port Moody budget: A town hall budget meeting will be held tomorrow, Monday, January 27, 2014. Earlier this week, the city hosted some ‘Council Cafe’ sessions, but MCCA did not receive notice in time to advise residents sooner. The town hall details are:

OCP update: The draft Official Community Plan will not be back in full before council this Tuesday, January 28, 2014, as earlier anticipated. However, you can check out other items on the agenda at http://www.portmoody.ca/modules/showdocument.aspx?documentid=6371.
Item 6.7 relates to the OCP; it is Metro Vancouver Staff Comments on Port Moody’s draft Regional Context Statement, and is 30 pages long.
MCCA: Also in the agenda package for Tuesday are minutes from the prior meeting which include public input comments from John Grasty, long-time promoter of west Port Moody densification (“Westport”) in which he attacks the Moody Centre Community Association. Schools: School board OKs sale or lease of lands
