Upcoming events this week include:
- Parks and recreation master plan update; and
- OCP back to council, with a recommendation to prepare an OCP adopting bylaw. There is no mention of further town halls, or a neighbourhood consultation in Moody Centre — which was approved by council in November 2012.
Parks and Recreation Master Plan update — Monday, February 24, 2014
The City of Port Moody is starting to update its new Parks and Recreation Master Plan. This includes reviewing parkland, trails, sports fields, community and recreation centres, and recreation and sports programs. There will be two public workshops.

OCP back to council — Tuesday, February 25, 2014, 7:00 pm (city hall)
The OCP will be on the agenda at the regular council meeting of February 25, 2014. Public input is allowed. Council will review the updates from its meeting of January 7, 2014 (see meeting summary at OCP-Still a Pandoras Box of unknown outcomes). See also, “Port Moodytown” — towers and numbers.
The cover memo to council recommends that an OCP bylaw be drafted, and that the draft bylaw with the OCP be forwarded to the April 1, 2014 Land Use Committee meeting for review.
Subject to Council direction, a potential schedule for next steps in the OCP update process could be as follows:
