OCP clears another hurdle, off to Metro Vancouver
3rd reading passed by council — April 22, 2014
After the well-attended public hearing on April 22, 2014, council voted 5:2 (3rd reading) to forward the controversial Official Community Plan to the Metro Vancouver board for its review and approval.
The date of final reading and approval by council is unknown. Further details will be communicated when available.
For background information, I looked for the minutes of January 25, 2011 when the current OCP was adopted, but could not find them on the city website.

Related, long-time high density advocate and realtor John Grasty once again felt it necessary to attack the Moody Centre Community Association, this time in a letter to the Tri-City News posted online on April 21, and published on April 23. His misinformed and negative statements are not based in fact. As to his motivations, draw your own conclusions.
As always, we welcome your comments and input to MCCA, by email, or as comment on this site.
