Port Moody Parade
Saturday, June 21, 2014, 11:00 am

After more than 30 years, the City reintroduced a parade to Port Moody residents in 2013 as part of the City’s centennial celebrations. Due to its overwhelming success, the parade is back for 2014. The parade will follow the same route as in 2013: Murray Street from Ioco Road to Rocky Point Park. The parade is scheduled to start at 11am. Join us on Saturday, June 21 as a participant, volunteer or spectator. For parade inquiries contact parade@portmoody.ca or 604.469.4748.
More information is available on the city website at:

Regional growth strategy — Metro Vancouver
Metro Vancouver’s board of directors met Friday, May 23. The most controversial item for discussion and voting was with regard to a regional growth strategy (RGS) amendment for the Delta Southlands proposal. The proposal passed. Online site Metrovanwatch provides some very informative information on this and other Metro Vancouver topics (including Port Moody). The Metro Vancouver board will be voting on Port Moody’s proposed amendments sometime within the next few months.
