Additional PCT pile driving, starting April 25, 2016
Pacific Coast Terminals
“The construction team has identified challenges in the ground conditions in the area of the new Waste Water Treatment System. Specifically, this area is located on the property, adjacent to the shore, midway along the site.
Two hundred and three (203) individual piles will need to be installed. There are 47 steel piles for equipment support and 156 wooden piles for soil densification. It is anticipated that it will take between 15 and 20 days to complete this work. The piling will begin April 25th and continue for 3-4 weeks.
PCT is acutely aware of the community’s sensitivity to noise emitting from its terminal. Accordingly, the necessary pile driving will be taking place between 7am and 5:30pm, Monday to Friday. The timing, and decibel levels of noise, will be in compliance with the City of Port Moody bylaws.”
