May 28, 2019: Public hearing, council meeting — zoning bylaw, Westport, DCCs, Marcon, more

Regular council meeting will follow at the conclusion of the public hearing which starts at 7:00 pm, council chambers (live-streamed).

Please note public input is allowed, in-person at meetings and/or by written submission to council@portmoody.ca and/or clerks@portmoody.ca. Written submissions are not currently recorded in official minutes. Written submissions for public hearings should be received by the city by 12:00 noon latest on the day of the meeting.

Regular Council meeting to follow public hearing, table of contents

 

Item 7.1 is the zoning bylaw “housekeeping” amendments, assuming referral from the public hearing earlier. For more, see post May 28, 2019: Public hearing on zoning.

Item 9.9 refers to the Andres-Peller property in the west of Moody Centre, pages 153-194. See separate post: Westport proposed major development seeking approval to amend OCP and zoning bylaw.

Item 9.11 refers to development cost charges (DCCs), pages 205-222. Port Moody’s fees have not been updated in over 30 years. See separate post: Development Cost Charges (DCCs), discussion for amendments and updating.

Item 9.12 refers to Marcon‘s proposed development on the south side of the 2800 block of St George Street, pages 223-394. This was last before council on February 26, 2019 and did not receive approval to proceed to public hearing at that time.
